Project:ProLog

Ronald_Wopereis is currently creating a Sudoku puzzle solver program in Prolog - a language in support of artificial intelligence.

The sudoku Prolog program can be downloaded HERE

Also, the Microsoft Access Database where sudoku puzzles can be entered to work with the prolog program is HERE

The inspiration for this type of program comes directly from Yvette_Dubel. Yvette_Dubel saw in the Go game room on the Kiseido Go Server (KGS) immediately how Attention could be packaged into a self-help tool, something that I wanted for a long time.

So while I build the Sudoku program, which starts of with an empty board, just like Go, just like the partner in Attention:Dialogue, rules of the Sudoku are added. More on this later.

An simple example of the AI program for Attention:Dialogue might be this:

Computer What would you like to give most?

Person Love

Computer /* rule : what you want to give most is what you want to receive most */

Computer So maybe what you want to receive most, is love. Would this apply to you?

Person Yes

Computer I see. Who would you like to receive love from?

Person My husband.

Computer /* for love to flow from A to B , B needs to pay attention to A */

Computer Are you saying that your husband does not love you anymore?

Person That is correct

Computer /* the word for energy is "love" for women and "attention" for men */

Computer /* it is impossible that a person does not pay attention. What is possible is that attention is not paid to person A, but to another person */

Computer If your husband does not pay attention to you, then who is he paying attention to? */

Computer /* attention flows thru generations. Most often when a husband pays less attention to his wife, it is because part of his attention goes to his mother */

Computer His mother?

Person Yes, how did you know?

Computer /* when a man pays attention to his mother, it is often because his mother could never be a child; that may be the reason why she has children */

Computer Is it possible that your husband's mother could never be a child?

Person Yes, her mother died at young age, and she had to take care of her family of origin.

Computer I see.

Computer /* when a person expresses her feelings, a silence period of 10 seconds applies. The acceptance of deep loss is very intense, but seldom takes more than 10 seconds */

Computer (waits 10 seconds)

Computer What happens?

Person I was very much touched by this insight.

Computer Ok, good. Shall we take a break?

Some other ingredients for this Attention:Theory program might include:

  1. Spinoza's Ethics - the definition of emotions, as a logical build
  2. Bert Hellinger - family constellations
  3. Lev Vygotsky - child development
  4. Anna Terruwe - affirmation theory
  5. Martin Buber - I and Thou
  6. Harry Palmer - Avatar
  7. Ronald Davis - The gift of Dyslexia

etc

Also, the program should contain elements of learning. What i mean by this is, that my attention theory holds very much the culture in which i was brought up (Western European) ; the fact that i am a male person ; that i am very much a mind-oriented person ; that i am highly gifted , which means somewhat extreme in the autistic spectrum ; highly sensitive - which means a low in some other area ; visual-spatial person (Linda Silverman). etc etc.

So the program should be able to learn from people with different background. Ideally, the program connects to an open database. The learning will be such, that rules that are used more often, those rules that apply more often, that are more general, so to speak ; these rules are the preferred rules. Like neurological paths.

And then there is creative thinking. In 98% of the tasks, no creativity is needed. But sometimes one needs these rules that are less applicable, just because of the fact that the general rules do not apply in 2% of the cases.

This could then become a wonderful gift, from humanity to humanity.
